All the towns in the area have a market on different days which our guests love to potter around, or just watch the world go by with a glass of wine in their hand.
For those who like a bit of fun in the evening, there is a night market during July and August in the town of Eymet, where you can buy local produce which is bar-b-qued in the streets, and you can sample some of the wines which are on offer by local producers at their own stalls.
If you are lucky, you might be holiday when the towns take it in turn to have their Bodegas, a night when you can roam around and sample food and wine, and listen to dozens of bands in the streets who play all sorts of music. The highlight for us are the drums that pound round the streets in the balmy heat of the evening, and with everyone joining in dancing.
There are Chateaux to visit, wine tasting, horseriding in the next village, and we are surrounded by the best selection of very reasonably priced restaurants you will find anywhere.

Other activities include canoeing on the Dordogne, (always a big hit with our guests!), Ten Pin Bowling at Bergerac. Two 18 hole and two 9 hole golf courses within 30 minutes. Aerial walkways through the trees, with different courses for different levels. Paintball. Go Kart racing in Bergerac.
